Maruthua Chukku Cappi is an age-old traditional drink of Kerala that uses spices such as dry ginger and peppercorns, along with herbs like tulsi, and is mixed with jaggery. It is quite strong with the combination of spicy and sweet flavors and helps to alleviate cough, cold, mild fever, throat infections, and nasal congestions. Additionally the dry ginger/chukku has digestive properties and a cup of Chukka Caapi can help you after a heavy meal.
Usage instructions:
For cold and flu: Gargling with this drink and gulping it down slowly can ease a sore throat.
For relieving gastrointestinal distress. The best time to consume the drink is in the morning.
